Meet the Team
Bobby Peña, President and Co-Founder
A well-respected member of the Latino business community, Bobby has helped clients of all sizes and shapes effectively reach Latino and other ethnic markets. Creating and executing innovative programs which reach directly into the community, Bobby and BPcubed have helped educate ethnic communities, driven attention to multiple issues and moved audiences to action. The repeated success found on behalf of clients, including small businesses, large corporations, trade associations, non-profits, government agencies and more is a testament to his ability to deliver.
An innovator and strategic thinker, Bobby has been involved in healthcare and ethnic public relations his entire career. At Aetna U.S. Healthcare, he served on the small team responsible for creating their first multicultural taskforce to reach internal and external audiences, beginning with California’s Latino business community. More recently, Bobby and BP3 conceived of and implemented a hands-on community partnership with Mexican Consulates around the state on behalf of Blue Cross of California when they, Blue Cross, needed to reach the hard-working, first and second generation Latinos in California. The results were stunning: an engaged and activated target audience, made the phones ring and created strong, new interest for Blue Cross’ new program as evidenced by an increase in sales.
Bobby has led public relations projects for the Sacramento, California and U.S. Hispanic Chambers of Commerce and has served on the Board of Directors for the California Conservation Corps Foundation.
He received a Bachelors of Science degree in Public Relations from Pacific Union College. Bobby lives in Fair Oaks with his wife, two boys and two yellow labs. Much of his “free” time is spent coaching junior high and high school sports.
